A guidebook to walking in Menorca in the Balearic Islands of Spain, featuring 65 of the best long and short day walks. We cover the whole of Menorca, showing trekking routes of varying difficulty, all of which are mapped in detail. There is a special introduction to the famous round-the-island route, the Camí de Cavalls and free downloadable GPS tracks.
Many of the hikes are circular, taking in pristine beaches, gorgeous countryside and prehistoric monuments.
This guide also includes 2 car tours, a touring map and plans of Mahón and Ciutadella.
When to go: The best months for walking in Menorca are April, May, June, September and October (when it will still be warm enough for most people), but take something showerproof for the occasional wet day – Menorca is the wettest of the Balearic islands, though July and August can normally be relied upon for lots of sun and heat (so are not ideal for walking!).
