The Pennine Way is a 429km (268 mile) trail running from Edale in Derbyshire to Kirk Yetholm in the Scottish borders. It will take you along the rugged backbone of England, crossing some of the finest upland landscapes from the Peak District National Park, along the Pennine ridge and up into Northumberland. A challenging route – with gentle moments too!
The Pennine Way is a National Trail. It is one of the toughest UK long distance footpaths, and forms part of the European Footpath Network.
Pennine Way North covers the route from Middleton-in-Teesdale to Kirk Yetholm.
