The route Havøysund takes you to the far north. The route follows the Arctic Ocean and meanders through a rugged landscape of cliffs and untamed nature where the bare mountains touch the oceans edge. The fishing village of Havøysund offers an intriguing opportunity to visit a vibrant community on the coast of Finnmark. From Havøysund, visitors can catch a boat to the islands of Rolvsøy and Ingøy and to Fruholmen lighthouse, further out into the Arctic Ocean. The area provides excellent opportunities for deep-sea fishing. Hjelmsøystauren rock, with one of Europes largest bird colonies, is also well worth a visit.
