The map shows the entire Zanzibar region as a semi-autonomous part of Tanzania. The main map represents the famous spice island of "Zanzibar" (Unguja) including coral gardens and the offshore island world. An additional map of the island of "Pemba, a city map of Stone Town, the historic center of the capital and an outline map of the archipelago complete the presentment. Numerous symbols refer to attractions, hotels and beach resorts. All roads, trails, tourist attractions and other facts were captured by GPS means. The map was created in collaboration with the Tanzanian authorities and the Institute of Marine Sciences, University of Dar es Salaam. The backside provides useful travel information on geography, climate, history and tourist attractions in three languages (German, English and Italian). Impressive color photos arouse the desire to own discoveries. Multi-lingual legend: English, German, Italian and Kiswahili.
