Pyhätunturi National Park was established as early as 1938. It was expanded with Luosto's magnificent fells in 2005. The area belongs to a mountain range that is more than two billion years old, of which steep quartzite fells and magnificent gorges remain. Of them, the beautiful Isokuru between Kultakero and Ukonhatu is the deepest in our country. The excursion destinations are connected by a trail network created for the needs of hikers, mountain bikers, skiers and snowshoers.
