Kveen's Päärlyvooki and its border neighbor in Finnish, Paattivuono, are Norway's most northeastern municipalities that thrive on the sea, fishing and the fish industry. For hikers, they offer kilometers upon kilometers of uninhabited and tide-shaped seaside, arctic fells and hiking trails.
The village of Kongsfjord with its idyllic lodges is especially popular with ornithologists. It survived the Second World War without being destroyed. There is an inn at the over 100-year-old Kjönes lighthouse.
