Iron Curtain Europe Cycle Route 1 Finland / Baltic Sea Coast
From the Barents Sea and from Helsinki to Riga
Making history tangible in the truest sense of the word – that is the aim of the “Iron Curtain European Cycle Path”. From the Barents Sea to the Black Sea, it leads across Europe in the footsteps of the Cold War. The route not only combines European culture, history and sustainable tourism, but also guides cyclists interested in history along the European Green Belt through varied landscapes and unique biotopes that were able to develop in the border strip. Laminated paper is used in the revised new edition and the maps are given different scales. That's why there will now be five books instead of three. This first volume documents the almost 4,000 km long northern part of the route from Grense Jakobselv on the Norwegian-Russian border to the Latvian capital Riga.
Map legend includes German and the information provided on the maps is sufficient to use these guide without any knowledge of German.
