Description
From Soest via Bielefeld to Hamelin
Cycling and train travel - that is the motto of the BahnRadRoute Hellweg-Weser, which runs around 270 kilometers from Soest in Westphalia via Bielefeld to Hameln on the Weser. You can easily switch to the train at any time along the route - that is the great advantage of this route. From the pretty half-timbered town of Soest you cycle on the historic Hellweg through the spa towns of Bad Sassendorf, Bad Westernkotten and Bad Waldliesborn through the Gütersloher Land and the Teutoburg Forest to Bielefeld with its Sparrenburg. We continue through the Lipperland region to the Hanseatic town of Lemgo, which is well worth seeing, with the magnificent Renaissance Castle Brake and through the Weserbergland to the idyllic Emmertal - with a must-see at Hämelschenburg - to the Weser and finally to the beautiful Pied Piper town of Hameln.
